Vincent Van Gogh Starry Night 3d inspired piece
Vincent van Gogh (1853–1890) was a Dutch artist known for his emotional intensity and bold use of color. Largely self-taught, he began painting in 1880, focusing on themes of rural life and later adopting vibrant colors and dynamic brushwork under the influence of Impressionism. Despite mental health struggles, he created masterpieces like The Starry Night and Sunflowers. Though his art was unrecognized during his lifetime, his work profoundly shaped modern art.

Construction+Reflection
Van Gogh’s The Starry Night inspired me to make a 3D ceramic model because of
Its patterns, colors, and emotions that work really well for creating something in three dimensions. I painted more detailed textures for the sky and swirling shapes in the sky to look like they’re already in motion. I used raised, curved shapes in my ceramic to bring that movement to life like the cypress tree, moon, and stars that look natural and flowing.
These shapes worked well for the rounded, soft forms I used in my ceramic piece.
The bright blues and yellows of the painting inspired the colors I chose for the piece.
I think i could've done better on the detailing for the cypress tree and i should've mixed more white onto the swirls for a more detailed look
